Day Shelter

“Staff do activities with clients: cooking classes, art, helping with budgeting, going for walks, visiting sights around Oxford and many more. I think activities are a great way of getting the clients to mix with one another, and they are also a great way to help people build up their confidence and boost self-esteem.”
Sue, Care Worker

The Day Shelter is a referral-only service provided by O'Hanlon House.

Non-residents, including rough sleepers and street drinkers, can use the Day Shelter by referral. People who have been resettled and still need contact with care staff may also be referred.

Referrals can be made by a street services team or, if the person is already housed, by the housing provider or floating support team.

Day Shelter clients have access to the same facilities as residents. Opening hours are 9am - 3.30pm, every day of the week.
