Gifts in kind
Most homeless people don't have many clothes, toiletries and other personal possessions. Your gifts and contributions are gratefully received but we have very limited storage facilities so please phone the Duty Manager on 01865 304600 to check we are able to receive them.

Clothing and toiletries
Many of the people who arrive at the Night Shelter don't have a change of clothes - not even spare underwear. At O'Hanlon House we rely on your donations to stock our emergency store.
We often need: sweaters and sweatshirts, t-shirts, tracksuit bottoms, men's and women's underwear, socks, hats, gloves, scarves, toothpaste and toothbrushes. If you fly overseas, save your free airline socks and toothbrush - one of our residents would love to have them!
Bedding
During especially busy periods, the O'Hanlon House shelter fills up and we may have to turn away two or three people each night. We try to supply blankets or sleeping bags to people who are turned away. But we can only supply these items thanks to your generous donations.
We often need: single fitted sheets, blankets, towels, pillowcases.
Household goods
Julian Housing helps people settle into their own accommodation. We often need basic household goods to support people who are setting up home. If you have household goods to donate, please phone Alan Cowland on 01865 201992.
We particularly need: duvets, plates, mugs, bowls, cutlery, tin openers.
Help with deliveries
Sometimes people offer gifts but are unable to deliver them to us. Could you collect and deliver donated gifts, either on a regular or an occasional basis? Please phone the Duty Manager at O'Hanlon House on 01865 304600.
Start a collection point
Some of our supporters operate collection points where people can donate clothing, bedding or household goods. For example, a local doctor's surgery has a sock donation box in a corner of the surgery. When the box is full, the socks are delivered to the Shelter.
Could your workplace, club or association organise a collection point? Please phone the Duty Manager at O'Hanlon House on 01865 304600.
Voucher Scheme
Would you like to give direct support to homeless people who stop you in the street to ask for help? For just £3, you could give someone a voucher entitling them to a night's shelter plus a hot meal, use of washing facilities and access to our resettlement services. Find out about our Voucher Scheme.
Thank you for your support.
