Visits and talks

We are happy to visit your group, school or organisation to discuss homelessness issues and talk about our work. Alternatively, small groups are welcome to arrange a tour of our facilities. Please email info@oxfordnightshelter.org.uk or call the Duty Manager on 01865 304600.

Oxford Homeless Medical Fund (OHMF)

Now managed by Oxford Night Shelter. OHMF raises donations to support welfare and medical services for homeless people in Oxford. OHMF founded Luther Street Medical Centre, an independent primary health care service for homeless and vulnerably housed people.

The Bridge Project

Provides emergency accommodation and support for homeless people aged between 16 and 25 years. Open 24 hours, seven days a week.

Homeless Link

Homeless Link is the national membership body for organisations supporting homeless people and working to end homelessness across England and Wales. It provides a strong voice to influence government policy and public opinion and provides members with advice, guidance and training.

Oxford Co-operative Training Scheme (OCTS)

OCTS offers affordable training to 'front-line' workers in residential settings, day centres, advice centres, etc., who are working with clients with multiple and complex problems.

Oxford Network Directory

The Directory is a resource for health and social services professionals working in Oxfordshire. It is updated and disseminated by The Elmore Team. The Directory is available in pdf and Word formats from Elmore's website.

Oxford Poverty Action Trust (OxPAT)

OxPAT was set up in 1996 to meet the challenge of visible poverty in the streets and invisible poverty in hostels, bed-and-breakfast accommodation etc. The monies received by OxPAT are distributed through agencies, including Oxford Night Shelter, to help people to get off the streets and move forward.

Oxford Sleep Out

Since its foundation in 1995, the Oxford Sleep Out has raised more than £100,000 for Oxford Night Shelter and many other Oxford agencies that support homeless people.
